Cassidy Christmas, 2008

Santa made his annual stop by Grandma and Papa's house. Cooper wasn't thrilled with Santa, but he tolerated him much better than the weekend before for the "formal" Santa picture. For that one, Cooper thought Santa might enjoy hearing how strong his vocal chords are.
Meghan, explaining to Santa that she has been a very good girl this year and rattling a few things off her list..... an Ipod, Littlest Petshop toys, Littlest Petshop DS game, and a Webkin.
Before our Christmas celebration begins, we always start it off with a Christmas story. The older grandchildren take turns reading.
While unpacking from the fun filled weekend, Cooper decided to play Santa... maybe he's not such a scary guy after all.

Bedtime Routine...

First of all, I have to admit I was rather lazy about taking pictures over Thanksgiving, although we did have a fabulous weekend at the lake with the entire Cassidy family. Once referred to as "the lakehouse," we now refer to it as "the dirthouse," as there is literally not much of a lake left due to the horrible drought which we are still experiencing. Although there was no boating, we had a blast playing games and watching football. The kids enjoyed the dirt... truly enjoyed it... from head to toe. At night, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Sticking with tradition, the guys golfed one day, while the girls bravely hit the mall on Black Friday. The only downside to the weekend, was that almost everyone ended up with a nasty stomach bug. One by one, we all seem to be catching it. Our family was one of the first to experience it, so it has now hit us all, and we are officially back to "normal."
Now that our bodies are back to normal, so are our daily routines, one of which involves getting ready for bed. Bath then books then bed.
Bath:
Tonight, M asked if she could help give C a bath and suggested they take one together. They both had a ball!
Books:
Like most nights, M read a bedtime story to C.

Bed:

And both are now peacefully sleeping.
